Creative Commons’ 10th year anniversary #CC10

Creative Commons, its affiliates, and the community will be hosting parties around the world from December 7 to 16 to celebrate Creative Commons’ 10th year anniversary this year. CC Philippines will join the celebration on 7 December 2012 at the Arellano University School of Law.

To mark this event, the above clip was created by PiPaul, a photographer and graphic designer in the Philippines, as a token of his appreciation to the community as he acquired knowledge of the availability of CC licensed audio tracks in CCMixter.

Sourcing appropriate audio tracks, without violating copyright laws or the rights of others, was one of PiPaul’s predicaments before he was introduced to the full potential of legal sharing. He included a portion of J. Lang’s “Drops of H20 (The Filtered Water Treatment)” as background music to the above clip. See http://ccmixter.org/files/djlang59/37792 for more details about J. Lang’s music. Note that J. Lang’s version was a legal derivative of Airtone’s original work. See http://ccmixter.org/files/airtone/33469 for more details of Airtone’s music.
